Sep 24 - Dr Giraldi Home Inquiry Main Hearing to Commence Next Week
With the intention of keeping members of the public regularly informed on the progress of the Dr Giraldi Home enquiry, a statement released today touched upon the inquiry’s current stage, including the process of contacting witnesses who may have evidence of assistance to the inquiry. Relevant authorities have also been contacted for statements. Witnesses at the main hearing will include Government ministers and representatives from the management of the Dr Giraldi Home, the Care Agency, the Royal Gibraltar Police and the Attorney General’s Chambers.
Former preliminary hearings held in June and July saw representations by legal representatives of a number of witnesses, relating to the matters to be dealt with at the main hearing, which is scheduled to commence next Monday and is expected to last four weeks.
The main hearing, which will be open to the public, will be held at the Coroner’s Court, top floor, the Law Courts Building, Town Range, Gibraltar and each session will commence at 10.00 am.
