Feb 07 - Royal Marines 350th Anniversary Gibraltar Rock Run
In order to celebrate and honour 350 years of the Royal Marines, 350 Marines will carry out the annual Rock Run on October 24th 2014. The weekend will include a number of festivities set to celebrate the Corps’ birthday including brunch at the naval base, a lunch with the Governor and a prestigious birthday party at the Khaima.
The run will begin in Casemates Square and end at the top of the Rock. The team aims to raise £6 million for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, which will help Marines who have been wounded in Afghanistan.

The Traffic light system on the junction between Queensway, Europort Road and Reclamation Road has been replaced with a new set up. The new system users detectors at a number of locations including under the road surface, to provide real time management of waiting times in line with demand and the aim to improve traffic flow in the area.
An information seminar on the introduction of the Indication of Prices and Invoicing Rules 2012 will be hosted at the Eliott Hotel on 19th February 2013 at 2:30 pm. The seminar will be held once again on 21st March 2013 at 2:30pm.
The Royal Gibraltar Post Office, in association with the Ministry for Culture, the Department of Education, the Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau, the Gibraltar Bookshop and Glass House Trading, is organising the local leg of the Universal Postal Union’s (UPU) International Letter-Writing Competition for 2013.
