Dec 12 - Port Authority Improves Vessel Tracking Services

cruise Officers at the Gibraltar Port Authority recently attended and graduated from a training course for Vessel Traffic Services Supervisors, held at South Tyneside College in Newcastle.

The initiative is part of the Gibraltar Government’s drive to continue enhancing the already stringent safety protocols applied to maritime traffic in BGTW. VTS is similar to air traffic control in that it tracks the movement of vessels and provides navigational safety in a limited geographical area.
