The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
During a period of handover to new staff the Care Agency has reassured the families of service users that ‘consistency in care provision would be maintained’. In December 2014 the service began the process of training new staff, including shadowing opportunities and supervision, to ensure a smooth handover.
The RGP is warning the public about an email spoofing scam that has seen local businesses receiving emails from addresses ending in .co that appear to be scam emails containing transaction requests. Some of the emails also feature a PDP invoice and bank details to process the transfer.

The second British Islands and Mediterranean Region (BIMR) Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Conference will be hosted in Gibraltar from the 6th to the 8th of February 2015.
Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) consists of female Members of legislatures of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA). It was initially formed to discuss ways to increase female representation in Parliament and work towards the mainstreaming of gender considerations in all CPA activities and programmes.
