The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
Mark Montovio, from The JM Memorial Foundation, took part in a conference in La Linea at the invitation of FEGADI, (Federación Gaditana de Personas con Discapacidad Física y Orgánica). The event, which was part of a series of activities making up their Cultural Week, saw a number of guest speakers discussing a variety of contemporary issues.

The programme of improvements to the Upper Rock continues which includes the installation of a suspended footbridge to span the gully that lies approximately halfway along the path. This will be a totally new feature on the Upper Rock, and in Gibraltar as a whole, and will be a point of attraction for visitors.
