The Government has announced that the Port of Gibraltar has now been added to the list of ports officially recognised globally to issue Ship Sanitation Certificates.
The Port Authority’s first ever Open Day for the public on Sunday to celebrate the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) World Maritime Day 2015 proved to be a resounding success with over 2,000 visitors getting a privileged peek inside the Port for the very first time.
In line with the commitment in its general election manifesto, the Government will publish a Command Paper for legislation which will further enhance and protect people with disabilities. The terms of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities has been used as a model for a Bill which will make provision for the betterment of persons with disabilities within Gibraltar.
The Hydrographic Survey Vessel HMS Echo arrives in the vicinity of Gibraltar tomorrow where she will launch her Survey Motor Boat (SMB) Sapphire to conduct routine survey work in and around the harbour.
