Runners Raise Funds For Charity

A group of runners from Gibraltar’s Carpe Diem Running Club have raised £80 for Breast Cancer Support Gibraltar following a charity run.
A statement from Carpe Diem Running Club follows below:
Under the campaign slogan of “Move the Boob,” around 25 runners donated funds towards the cause before taking part in a long run on the Rock.
All of the runners ran distances between 10km and 26km on Sunday 27 October whilst dressed in pink running gear.
The campaign encourages local people to get fit and exercise, whilst raising awareness of breast cancer.
A spokesperson for the Carpe Diem Running Club, said: “We had a great turn out for the fundraiser and we’d like to thank all the runners that took part for their donations.
“This is what makes this club unique, our members are always eager to help the local community through our running.”
Founded in 2019, Carpe Diem Running Club Gibraltar is a club that prides itself on being inclusive. The club, who train around the Rock several times a week, welcomes runners of all paces, ages, nationalities and abilities.
