Man Given Community Service For Sexual Assault
07 March 2025

A local man has been sentenced to 270 hours of community service today for a sexual assault against a woman.
Frederick Peire, 48, of the Upper Town, was found guilty of the sexual assault on February 14th, following a trial at the Magistrates’ Court.
The assault took place in October 2022.
He was found not guilty of four other sexual assaults, threats to kill and harassing conduct.
An RGP spokesman said: "It's important for the public to know that this was a minor sexual assault on the lower end of the scale, which is reflected in the sentencing."
