Man Arrested on Suspicion of Burglary
04 February 2026

A 44 year old Argentinian national of No Fixed Place of Abode has been arrested on suspicion of Burglary.
The arrest came about after officers from the Community Policing Team were conducting a foot patrol of the Upper Town this morning, and located a number of items they suspected to be stolen property.
Response Team officers patrolling the area of the city-centre had earlier identified a shop with a damaged window, and this led to a report of Burglary being received and the property identified as originating from these premises.
The suspect was located and arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of Burglary, and is currently in Police Custody.
The investigation remains ongoing.
