Jul 23 - William Hill Places Highest Odds on George for Royal Baby Name
As the world ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ over the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s newly born son. Online betting companies are placing odds on the child’s name, which will not be formally announced for at least a week.
William Hill places odds of 5/2 on George and then 4/1 on James, with odds for Charles at 33/1. The Daily Mail notes that the royal couple could choose to honour Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana, by giving their son her middle name, ‘Francis’.
Henry, Prince Harry’s full name has odds at 14/1, with traditional and longstanding names within the monarchy, Albert, Edward and Richard having odds at 16/1, 25/1 and 14/1.
The Daily Mail places James at the top of their list, stating that the name has links to both the Royal Family and the Duchess’.
The couple this afternoon thanked the staff of St. Mary’s Hospital and the Lindo wing for the tremendous care that they’ve received. They also thanked the staff patient and visitors for their understanding, during this time.
