GBC has secured the rights to broadcast the Miss World and Miss Supranational Beauty Pageants.

The Miss Supranational Show takes place tomorrow at the Mosir Arena in Poland, where Gibraltar’s Second Princess, Claire Nuñez, will take part. The pageant will be screened by GBC at 5.30pm on Saturday 13 December.  This pageant started in 2009, with Gibraltar taking part this year for the first time.  The current Miss Supranational is Mutya Datul from the Philippines.

On Sunday 14 December, GBC will show a live broadcast of the Miss World Pageant from the ICC Auditorium in London from 3.30pm.  Miss Gibraltar, Shyanne Azzopardi, will represent The Rock.   The show is returning to its roots in London after several years of touring around the globe.  The reigning Miss World is Megan Young, who is also from the Philippines.

The broadcast of these pageants will allow viewers to follow Gibraltar’s beauty queens as they take part in these international competitions.
