Mei Posso took the first prize in the Art Competition for Young Artists organised by the Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture. The Minister for Culture, Steven Linares, officially opened the Exhibition and presented the awards yesterday evening at the John Mackintosh Hall.
In May the Gibraltar Classic Vehicle Association will host their annual rally, with the added bonus of a tour by Gibraltar Museum Director Professor Clive Finlayson. In November last year the Association was accepted as a full member of the International Federation of Ancient Vehicles.
Local band SuperWookie has teamed up again after a seven-year lull. Frontman Jonathan Sacramento, bassist Jason Belilo, guitarist Alex Zapata and drummer Martin Figueras went their separate ways in 2008 following the 2007 release of their self titled record and going on to support Marillion as they kicked off their European tour.
The 2015 Gibraltar Drama Festival will feature 12 productions to be performed between Monday 23rd and Saturday 28th March 2015. The first night with feature two original dramas by Julian Felice. ‘To Touch the Face of God’ and ‘Utrecht’ will be performed by the Bayside and Westside Drama Group at Bayside Comprehensive School.
