Retired teacher Freddie Poggio took the first prize in yesterday evening’s Gibraltar International Art Exhibition.
The Gibraltar International Art Exhibition, organised by the Ministry of Culture in association with the Gibraltar Cultural Services, is being held at the Gustavo Bacarisas Gallery. The Minister for Sports, Culture, Heritage and Youth, Steven Linares officially opened the exhibition yesterday.
Today marks three years since the launch of YGTV. The news website started in November 2011, whilst campaigning for the general election was in full swing. Since then, its small, hardworking team has established a reputation for fast and reliable reporting.

The Minister for Culture, Steven Linares, has sent a message of best wishes on behalf of everyone in Gibraltar to Miss Gibraltar’s 1st Princess, Kristy Torres. Kristy will be participating at the Miss International Pageant taking place in Japan tomorrow.
A presentation will be hosted by the Instituto Cervantes this evening. Sebastián de la Obra, director of the Casa de Sefarad in Cordoba, will deliver a talk titled “Sefarad: La memoria es más fuerte que las piedras.”
