Valerie Makey has stepped down as Commissioner of Girlguiding Gibraltar after six years. She received the Good Service award from outgoing UK Branch advisor Anne Llewelyn Jones in a reception held at Grand Battery House last week.
The GSD has raised its “deep concerns” about what it describes as the “deplorable condition and lack of maintenance” of the frontier fence. The party has received images (posted here) showing that the fence has large gaps in it through which smugglers are gaining access into Gibraltar.
The Government of Gibraltar is pleased to announce that a further series of seminars and workshops on accessibility training were provided by the Ministry of Equality last week.
