In line with the Government’s e-government commitment for the public service, Neil Costa, the Minister for the Port, is pleased to announce that the first phase of the Gibraltar Maritime Administration’s online services is now complete.
The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia and the Minister for Heritage Steven Linares recently paid a familiarisation visit to the Northern Defences in order to learn how to best proceed with the refurbishment and restoration of the area.
The Government has said that Mr Feetham's surprise at the marine regulations “is clearly focussed on the fact that the Government has been able to produce such a robust, yet sensible, set of regulations that will, at the same time, assist the protection of marine life whilst allowing legitimate activities such as rod and line fishing to continue.”
The Government has said that, in its “overriding eagerness to criticise everything that the Government does, the Opposition continues to jump the gun and to betray a distinct lack of knowledge across the board on a whole range of issues.”
The GSD says it notes what it terms the “quite extraordinary interview” given by Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, to GBC in which, according to the pary, he yet again “tried to complicate what is a very simple issue.”
The GHA is holding its 7th annual Staff Awards Ceremony at the John Mackintosh Hall on Thursday 6th November 2014 at 6.00 pm.
GHA staff and their families will attend the ceremony to receive awards for their long service with the GHA. In addition, there will be nine special awards given to GHA staff in recognition of outstanding individual and team performance in 2013/14.
Following last month’s visit of EuroCOP (European Confederation of Police) president Anna Nellberg, the Gibraltar Defence Police Federation Committee has revealed that its application for membership has been granted. Support has been extended to the federation from Spanish Police Representative bodies including La Asociacion Unificada de Guardias Civiles.
