Sep 30 - Feetham Meets With Lidington At Conservative Party Conference
The Leader of the Opposition, Daniel Feetham has said that he has held very useful meetings today at the Conservative Party Conference with Denzil Davidson, special advisor to the Foreign Secretary and the Minister for Europe, David Lidington. They spoke about a range of issues including incursions, dialogue with Spain and whether there were any plans to include British Overseas Territories in any constitutional talks on a Federal United Kingdom.
Apart from these meetings, Mr Feetham has also met a number of other Members of Parliament and special advisors on areas such as Justice and rehabilitation of offenders in order to see whether lessons can be learnt from both the system in England and future Conservative plans in this area. The GSD says that, when in government, it introduced legislation for the rehabilitation of offenders and it is an area which it says will feature strongly in the policies it intends to publish over the next year.
