A new Careers and Employment Development Service to assist and advise students on their future career options was launched this morning by the Ministry of Business and Employment in conjunction with the Ministry of Education.
The Shadow Minister for the Environment, Trevor Hammond, has expressed his surprise at what he calls the “aggressive response” by Government to his Press Release last week in which it was stated that the GSD would be looking further into the matter of the World Health Organisation’s report on the very poor air quality in Gibraltar.
The GSD says it is concerned that a firm date has not been committed to by the Minister for Health Dr John Cortes for the opening of the Dementia Day Care Centre and Residential Unit.
The Government has said that it has reminded employers on its Approved Contractors’ Scheme that they are under an obligation to offer jobs to those who are registered as unemployed.
