Unite the Union and Boluda Towage Gibraltar Settle 2025 Pay Review

Unite the Union and Boluda Towage Gibraltar are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the 2025 pay review, which they say reflects both the company’s continued commitment to its workforce and the hard work and dedication of its employees.

A statement continued: “The agreement, which covers all unionised employees of Boluda Towage Gibraltar, includes a cost of living pay increase, ensuring that workers are fairly compensated for their essential role in the region’s maritime services. The key elements of the 2025 pay review are as follows:

• Pay Increase: A 2.6% increase in basic pay across all levels, effective from the 1st January 2025.

• Bonus: A £350 average bonus for employees based on individual and company-wide performance in the previous year.

“Unite the Union has worked collaboratively with Boluda Towage Gibraltar to ensure that the pay review reflects the growing demands and responsibilities of the workforce, as well as the company’s strong performance in the competitive maritime industry.”

Unite the Union’s Christian Duo, said, “We are pleased to have reached an agreement that acknowledges the hard work and commitment of our members at Boluda Towage Gibraltar. This pay settlement ensures that the workforce continues to enjoy at least a cost of living increase at a time when the current IRP figure in Gibraltar stands at 2.4%”.

Boluda Towage Gibraltar representative Mr Elias Tapiero, stated, “At Boluda Towage Gibraltar, we are committed to fostering a strong relationship with our employees. This pay review is a testament to the value we place on our workforce and our collective goal of continuing to provide high-quality maritime services in Gibraltar. We look forward to our continued success and growth together.”

The pay review is the result of constructive negotiations between Unite the Union and Boluda Towage Gibraltar, and both parties are confident that this agreement will further strengthen the partnership and contribute to a motivated and dedicated workforce.
