St Bernard’s Upper Primary School Castle Steps Challenge For Help Me Learn Africa

St Bernard’s Upper Primary School completed their annual ‘Castle Steps Marathon’ charity challenge once again this week, where pupils and staff took it in turns throughout the school day to walk as many times as possible up and down Castle Steps.
A statement from the Government follows below:
Each year group had a specific time slot during the school day during which this fun but challenging and strenuous activity was carried out.
This year they are raising funds for Help Me Learn Africa (https://helpmelearnafrica.org/), which is a charitable organisation that supports children in impoverished villages acrossAfrica,with a primary focus on Maranatha School in Ghana. Their mission is primarily to help fund the school, ensuring that children have access to education and the resources they need to learn and thrive.
Headteacher Mr McNeice and Deputy Headteacher Mr Rocca said they have raised a very significant amount of money for this very worthy cause, proving once again “how caring our school is and showcasing the sterling work we try to do locally and beyond in helping others and those in need. We are very proud of our school community for their unwavering support as always and for making this event such a huge success.”
