Final Call For Questions On Treaty Via Official Email Channel

In order to manage responses efficiently, particularly given the volume of enquiries, the Government has decided to introduce a cut-off date for the submission of further questions. This will be set to midnight on Friday 4th of July 2025.

A statement from the Government follows below:

HM Government of Gibraltar continues to receive questions from the public on the EU-UK  agreement with respect to Gibraltar, to the recently created, bespoke email address:

[email protected].

The Government is pleased to note the remarkable success of this initiative, with over a  thousand queries submitted, demonstrating a high level of public interest and participation.

While questions continue to be received, a significant proportion relate to a limited number of  recurring themes. In order to manage responses efficiently, particularly given the volume of  enquiries, the Government has decided to introduce a cut-off date for the submission of further  questions.

This will be set to midnight on Friday 4th of July 2025.

Questions received within this deadline will be responded to by Government by Friday 25th of  July 2025 at the latest. Then, as already announced, a document will be published with  responses to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

It is important to note that the purpose of this email account is to address concerns or questions  which are directly linked to the agreement and should not to be used to raise enquiries  concerning wider areas of Government. Such questions will not be addressed through this  process and should instead be directed to the relevant Government departments via the  appropriate official channels.

The Government would like to encourage members of the public to submit any remaining  questions to the above email address before the cut-off date. It also urges the public to rely on  information officially issued by the Governments of Gibraltar and the United Kingdom, and to  treat with caution any statements from unofficial sources.
