The TP Towage tug team this morning assisted in the very delicate operation to bring in the Sunborn floating hotel from its transporter ship just off the Detached Mole to its berth on the South Mole next to the entrance to GibDock.
As part of the Friends of Gibraltar’s visit to the Rock this week, the group paid a visit to CBF John Clink at HM Naval Base.

Yesterday evening, His Worship the Mayor hosted the Rotary Club’s weekly meeting at the City Hall. As an honorary member of the Club, Mayor Tony Lima insisted that this meeting gave him an opportunity to host the club and open his doors to them.
His Worship continued by explaining his background in the Civil service briefly, and then went on to outline the history of Mayoralty. The Mayor was presented with a honorary Rotary Club tie.
Yesterday evening the Gibraltar Heritage Trust held their annual painting competition. This year’s theme centered around the Grand Battery. His Excellency the Governor presented the awards during a ceremony held at the John Mackintosh Hall, where all entries will be exhibited between the 12th and 14th of June.
Within the Children’s category highly commended awards were presented to Aaron Brier, Maya Breeze, Cadie Pedder and Alba Narvaez Carseni. Third prize was awarded to Christina Daswani Hurtado, and first and second prizes were presented to Lauren Birt and Abigael Bellingan.
