Jan 17 - Saturday Opening for Youth Centre
The Youth Centre along Line Wall Road has now extended its opening hours to Saturday. When it will open as from 2pm – 5pm offering youngsters extra services.
Jan 17 - Brussels Protest to Outline ‘Disproportionate Frontier Queues’
Following a recent public protest, carried out by local and Spanish activists and Union leaders on the issue of unfair treatment and disproportionate queues at the frontier, a further demonstration is set to take place in Brussels next week.
Jan 17 - Western Beach Cigarette Seizure
Customs officers challenged a Spanish National at the North end of Eastern Beach as he made his way towards the frontier fence carrying a large black bag, earlier this week.
The man dropped the bag and attempted to flee the scene but was captured by Customs and arrested after a search of the bag and surrounding area resulted in the find of 9,000 cigarettes.
