European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for ForeignAffairs José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels on Thursday 16th May.
The Government has said that members of the public who had an opportunity to hear the statements of Sñr Margallo today at the joint press conference with Foreign Secretary Hammomd “will have been as disappointed as ever to have heard him repeat, during the course of the joint press conference in question, the same lies, defamation and nonsense about all matters which are relevant.”
The Commander of British Forces (CBF), Commodore Ian McGhie, visited the Gibraltar Army Cadets during their regular Wednesday evening training session at Buffedero Training Camp.Officer Commanding Captain Alan Montegriffo gave a presentation on the history of the cadets and outlined the training and activities the Cadets offer young people in Gibraltar. He explained that their aim is to provide challenges and activities that promote military skills, discipline and team work while improving confidence and fitness.

As honourable members are aware, the Foreign Secretary, the Right Honourable Philip Hammond MP, is today in Madrid for the purposes of meeting with the Spanish Foreign Secretary, Sñr Garcia Margallo y Marfil.
