Jun 13 - Chief Minister Sets Off For UN Tomorrow

The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, leaves Gibraltar tomorrow to speak at the UN Committee of 24 in New York. The Chief Minister will be accompanied by the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, and the Chief Secretary, Mr Ernest Gomez. On Monday evening they will travel to Washington for a series of meetings before returning to Gibraltar on Thursday.

Jun 13 - Spanish Warship In “Innocent Passage” Through BGTW Just Before Two Royal Navy Minehunters Arrive

The Spanish navy warship, SPS Vigia, passed through Gibraltar's territorial waters on its way to Algeciras port this morning. She was shadowed by HMS Sabre but the Convent confirmed that her actions were being classified as “innocent passage” because the ship did not change its course and did not assert that it was patrolling what it claims are Spanish waters as it has done in the recent past.
