Feb 02 - Large Cigarette Seizure Following Domestic Disturbance At Gardiner’s View

At about 1730hrs yesterday afternoon, Police attended to an address in Gardiner’s View in answer to reports of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were met by two British nationals, a male and a female, who both made allegations of assault against each other following a heated argument which had allegedly turned violent. Both bore signs of injury with the female showing severe swelling to her cheekbone and jaw. Both persons were co- habiting as a couple at the time of the incident.

Feb 02 - Extended Deadline For Charlemagne Youth Prize

The deadline for entering the 8th Charlemagne Youth Prize has been extended to the 23rd February. The Prize is organised by the European Parliament and the International Charlemagne Prize Foundation in Aachen and it is awarded each year for projects run by people aged between 16 and 30. The winning projects should provide models for young people living in Europe and offer practical examples of Europeans living together.
