picardo Chief Minister Fabian Picardo yesterday addressed a Business Outlook Conference hosted by the premier of the British Virgin Islands, where he is currently visiting. Speaking as one of the head speakers on ‘ Smart Government – Critical to the Global Competitiveness of Small territories’ Picardo stressed the importance of modernising administrations in terms of both technology and attitude. He explained his e-government platform that is set to be launched imminently. This will serve to make Government services more accessible and information more readily available.

Jan 15 - Customs Make Huge Cigarette Haul Following Smuggler’s Escape

The incident saw a Spanish registered vehicle driving into the loop exit road to Spain at Winston Churchill Avenue where it was stopped and challenged by Customs officers.
