The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
For the past six weeks the children from St Paul’s School and Nursery have been involved with learning about different peoples, countries and history. The culmination of these first topics in the academic year traditionally ends with a fun day for all, which is the School’s Humanities Day.
A short ceremony was held this morning at the Mayor’s Parlour in City Hall during which three people received Gibraltar Medallions. All three had been unable to attend the main ceremony for this honour earlier this year because it had coincided with a Jewish holiday.
