European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for ForeignAffairs José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels on Thursday 16th May.
Work on the new extension to No 6 Convent Place is nearing completion. The building is buzzing with the movement of office furniture, PC terminals and files whilst tradesmen continue to work on the finishing touches. The new state-of the art extension will add much-needed space and all the technological innovations needed to bring Government’s Central Headquarters into the 21st century.
The Gibraltar Horticultural Society is holding its annual Spring Flower Show at the John Mackintosh Hall on Wednesday 29th & Thursday 30th April. Categories in this year’s show include gardens, courtyards, estates and schools. Grow your own food and cut flowers will also be showcased along with other exhibits.
The Government has today published a Command Paper for a Gibraltar Consultative Council Act. The proposed Act reflects the decision of the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, to propose a body for Gibraltar which would be similar to the Privy Council in UK. This proposal was included within the Chief Minister’s Budget Speech in June 2014.
