The Security Coordination Group which comprises the Governor, Chief Minister, Commander of British Forces and Commissioner of Police, has decided to maintain an “enhanced level” of security on the Rock. The decision comes after a meeting this morning at the Convent during which the group reviewed the factors that had led to the increase in the security threat level at the end of last week.
The Government of Gibraltar's Department of the Environment's bid to join the world’s largest global environmental network, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), has been successful. The positive news of the decision taken by the IUCN Council was communicated to the Government’s Department of the Environment late last week.

This year’s intake evening will take place on Wednesday 21st January at the Buffadero Training Camp from 18:00hrs to 21:00hrs. Younsters and their parents will be given a presentation by Captain Alan Montegriffo followed by a question and answer session and they will then visit a Cadets’ training session.
