Mar 07 - Sequel to Operation Felix to be Released in May

operation tracerGold Productions Studios has announced that the much-awaited sequel to its Internationally acclaimed Second World War documentary “Operation Felix” has now been completed.

Minister for Culture Mr. Steven Linares will officially launch the documentary “Operation Tracer” on May 13th 2013 at the John Mackintosh Hall.

Operation Tracer tells the top-secret story of the infamous “Stay Behind Cave” where a team of Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve personnel were to be buried alive inside the Rock of Gibraltar if the Germans captured and invaded Gibraltar. Their suicide mission would have been to spy on the Germans and radio London every night with their findings.

The documentary was possible thanks to the testimony of the last remaining survivor of the operation, Dr. Bruce Cooper, who told his story exclusively to Gold Productions Studios before passing away in 2010.

Producer and Director of “Operation Tracer” documentary, Mr. Martin Nuza, was privileged to have been invited by James Neish to the rehearsals of their “Stay Behind Cave” stage play which has entered the Gibraltar Drama Festival and will play on the 15th March at the Inces Hall Theatre. The play is presented by Stage One Productions and directed by Jackie Vella. Mr. Nuza commented, “The play projects the story very well, capturing the emotion and horror of the war time mission. It is a play certainly not to be missed. James has casted the actors superbly and created a wonderful setting for the audience.”
