Minister Cortes Visits Morocco’s Banque Populaire’s Gibraltar Offices

Minister John Cortes visited the Gibraltar representative office of Banque Populaire at College Lane. There he was met by the Manager of the Bank’s Gibraltar office, Imane El Haraki.

Minister John Cortes , whose portfolio includes the role of developing relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, visited the Gibraltar representative office of Banque Populaire, the main Moroccan bank, at College Lane. There he was met by the Manager of the Bank’s Gibraltar office, Imane El Haraki.
The opportunity was taken to discuss matters of mutual interest, such as how the bank can assist Gibraltar businesses who wish to trade in Morocco, and Moroccan businesses with an interest in working in Gibraltar.
Also present during visit were Joshua Lhote of the Gibraltar-Morocco Business Association and Simon Galliano from the Ministry.
Subsequently Ms El Haraki visited the Minister at his office to make a presentation on behalf of the Basque Populaire.
