Minister Linares has sent a message of best wishes to the coach of the Gibraltar Under 18 Girl’s Hockey Selection currently playing in the Euro Hockey Nations Championships III in Croatia.
Launching the 2013 Summer Sports and Leisure Programme this afternoon, Regional Director of NatWest Gibraltar, David Bruce, along with Sports Minister Steven Linares and CEO of the GSLA, Joe Hernandez, promised that this year’s scheme would ‘bigger and better’ then ever before.
The scheme, which has proved immensely popular amongst youngsters in former years, will not only provide an extensive selection of sporting activities to entertain school children during the Summer holidays, but will also include new workshops with the Royal Gibraltar Police, Childline and the Alameda Gardens. The programme also boasts a Stagecoach Theatre Arts Summer School.
Shadow Minister for Sports, Edwin Reyes, has today wished the best of luck to the Gibraltar Girls Under 18 Hockey Selection who are currently in Croatia, competing in the Nations Championships III. The team is set to play their first match today, against Lithuania.
The Minister for Sports, Culture, Heritage and Youth Steven Linares, has congratulated all the dancers from the different dance groups who participated, under the auspices of the Gibraltar National Dance Organisation, at this year’s Dance World Cup held this week in Brighton, England.
The Minister for Sport Steven Linares this afternoon presented the dartboard used in the final of the Gibraltar Darts Trophy to Trisha Parker a representative of William Hill Online.
