The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
Members of Gibraltar’s Round Table were granted a special audience with HRH the Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace last week. This follows a ‘Cornerstone of the Community’ Award recently presented to Round Table Gibraltar by the Newcastle Building Society.

This morning the HMS Astute arrived in Gibraltar for a short visit as part of scheduled operational tasking. Astute is the leading nuclear-powered submarine of her class and is the largest attack submarine the Royal Navy has commissioned by the Royal Navy.
