    The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).

Deputy CM Joseph Garcia in BrusselsThe Gibraltar Government is planning to expand the team, function and premises of the Gibraltar office in Brussels. Dr Joseph Garcia, Deputy Chief Minister, and the Gibraltar delegation have been identifying suitable premises in the EU capital during their visit. 

The Gibraltar team was made up of Chief Legal Adviser Michael Llamas QC, Principal Secretary Caine Sanchez and PA Ernest Francis.
