The GSD have issued a statement calling the Government’s recent housing press release a “smokescreen”.
The GSD says that as result of the its press release last week and “significant public pressure”, the GHA has now confirmed that it will increase the availability of face to face appointments as from today.
The GSD has said that it is now clear that the Government are “simply playing a political numbers game” rather than considering the rights or wishes of all families or individuals. The party says the Government have apparently calculated that the issue of unvaccinated individuals visiting their family members in hospital or ERS affects a minority of individuals they are “shutting their eyes” to the problem and are “abandoning the pleas for help” by those individuals.
The Gibraltar Health Authority has announced plans to increase the availability off face to-face appointments with a GP or Nurse Practitioner at the Primary Care Centre as from Monday 19th April 2021 as part of the gradual return to a more normal service.
