The Gibraltar Alzheimer’s & Dementia Society (GADS) has announced the creation of Dementia Friends, an organisation which aims to change our community’s perceptions of dementia and encourage better understanding and greater awareness of the disease in the community.
Recently, three Year 10 Bayside students (Harry Gonzalez, Michael Mackie and Logan Russell) under the guidance of teacher Mrs Maria Palma organized a cake sale to raise funds to purchase a much-needed urn for local charity Clubhouse Gibraltar. The cake sale was a great success and they were able to donate £90 towards the purchase of the urn.
Calling all lovers of pancakes and supporters of Cancer Relief - this year the charity will be holding their fourth Pancake Day fund-raising event on Shrove Tuesday 28th February.
