Marking six months following the release and Government response to the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee report on Gibraltar, entitled ‘Gibraltar: Time to Get Off the Fence’ a debate was held in the House of Commons yesterday afternoon.
The GSD Opposition has today contrasted what it sees as the “promptness and personal interest” the Chief Minister has shown in the allegations of bullying made against the RGP with the “lethargic way” in which the allegations of bullying made nearly a year ago against Joanna Hernandez by 35 trainees has been dealt with.
Last night Chief Minister Fabian Picardo's New years Speech was broadcast on GBC TV. Within the speech Picardo touched upon the state of Gibraltar's finances, claiming they are amongst 'the strongest in the world' and the potential for a change in relationship with the EU, depending on the result of the UK's General Election this May.
