A statement follows below:
Gibraltar, Wednesday 5th November. Internationally acclaimed artist Christian Hook once again makes headlines with a once-in-a-lifetime Open House at his Gibraltar studio, The Guardhouse, Queensway, running from 10 AM to 8 PM.
The event marks an exclusive opportunity for Gibraltarians to acquire Hooks work directly from the artist, a moment that bridges international acclaim with community connection. The “No Mud, No Lotus GIB Collection” features 150 limited edition prints and 25 exclusive artist prints, each bearing Hooks personal handprint, a rare and intimate mark of authenticity that connects each piece directly to the artist himself.
Each work reflects Hooks signature fusion of imagination, technology, and emotion. His decision to host this open event comes from a desire to make his art more accessible to Gibraltarians while offering insight into how his creative journey has evolved across international markets. Having exhibited in major art capitals and achieved significant collector demand Hook recognises how important it is for Gibraltarians to have direct access to his work. “I wanted to bring something back to Gibraltar to give locals the chance to own a piece of my work and share in the journey it’s taken me on,” said Hook.
Visitors will enjoy an intimate, open-door atmosphere, with drinks, art viewings, and conversation throughout the day. GBC Radio will also be broadcasting live from Hooks studio, capturing the excitement and energy of the event as it unfolds.
Hooks recent exhibition, “This Is It”, raised £105,000 for the Peter J Isola Foundation, a defining moment that underscored his deep connection to Gibraltar and his ongoing commitment to giving back.
In that same spirit of generosity, 10% of all sales from the Open House event will be donated to the GBC Open Day, continuing Hook’s tradition of supporting local causes and community initiatives.
The studio will also be open on Saturday 8th November from 10 AM to 6 PM, giving visitors another opportunity to experience the collection and meet the artist in person.
For those wishing to receive information about available artworks, a Pre-Sale is now open. Call or WhatsApp (+350) 54001041 with your details, and information will be sent to you directly.
