Technical Notice On The Recognition Of Professional Qualifications

The Government has published the following Technical Notice on the recognition of professional qualifications after the end of the Transition Period:

On 31 December 2020, the Transition Period (sometimes also referred to as the  “Implementation Period”) under the EU-UK Withdrawal Agreement will come to an  end. The end of the Transition Period will bring an end to the current status quo  whereby Gibraltar, its citizens and its business, have enjoyed EU rights. Therefore,  subject to the outcome of ongoing negotiations concerning the UK and Gibraltar’s  future relationship with the EU, the end of the Transition Period will bring about  important changes which Gibraltar, as a whole, will need to be ready for.

Active cases: 47 (47: residents / 0: visitor) 

Recovered cases: 1004 (+14) 

Self-isolation: 390 

Positive Cases in COVID-19 Ward: 3 

Positive Cases in CCU: 1 

Positive Cases in ERS: 0 

Deaths from COVID-19: 4 

Deaths with COVID-19: 1 

Total deaths: 5 

A total of 24,590 tests have been carried out so far in the frontline, targeted and  systematic sampling. This is included in the above figures. 

Of the 3 new resident cases in Gibraltar today, 2 were close contacts of existing  active cases.



AOP Donates £600 To Lions Club

Action on Poverty, an Equality Rights Group (ERG) project formed in coalition with the Gibraltar Private Sector Workers & Pensioners Association (GPSW&PA) and the Community Branch of Unite the Union, has today presented the Lions Club of Gibraltar with a cheque for £600.
