Apr 02 - No More Tobacco Trade In Glacis And Laguna - Chief Minister Inspects Progress
The Chief Minister took a tour of Laguna and Glacis estates yesterday evening in order to see for himself the effects of a new law which prohibits over the counter sales of tobacco in shops located in these residential areas. The new law is intended to bring an end to the anti-social behaviour associated with the tobacco trade which had plagued these estates in recent times.
Apr 02- Work on Mount Alvernia Balconies Commences
This week, works to refurbish balconies along the west elevation of Mount Alvernia have commenced. Balconies will receive total replacement of balustrades and flooring. Current balconies have become dilapidated and have therefore needed to be supported by scaffolding that has been erected for over a decade.

Marking World Autism Day today, Minister for Social Services Samantha Sacramento has insisted that the Government is working to improve the quality of care and standards for all children, young people and adults with disabilities, including autism.
Autism is a spectrum condition, meaning that, while all people with autism share certain difficulties, their condition will affect them in different ways.
