UNHOLY MATRIMONY

Is marriage dead?  Apart from a few success’s (or are they failures too), marriages are just not what they used to be. Or are they?

Divorce has always been as popular as marriage, in ancient times you could get out of a Roman marriage by uttering these simple words in latin, “Tuas res tibi habeto” (Keep what’s yours for yourself).

In China only the husband had the right to end his marriage for the following reasons, lacking piety when serving his parents, childlessness, adultery, jealousy (over concubines and or prostitutes), sickness, health and gossip. (I like the Chinese)

Who really cares?

Since when does one group of people deserve more of an outcry than another, when acts of violence are perpetrated against them? When Sky News tells you, that’s when.

I sat with fascination when the anchor on the two main UK News channels reported on the facts as they unfolded on the killing of innocent people outside a school yesterday.

Give up smoking today.

Today I will attempt to give up cigarettes for the twentieth time. Will I succeed?

Probably not, but it will not stop me from trying. I curse the day I picked up a cigarette offered to me by my friend at the time. I thought it was cool even though the bloody thing made me choke, cough, splutter and stink like an ashtray.

Like everything else in my life, I quickly developed a dependency with the evil little sticks. After leaving school I was probably smoking about ten a day and enjoying them. In my late teens I landed a job that required little thought but lots of brawn, many if not all of my co workers where heavy smokers and within a year so was I.

TWO EASY WAYS ON HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT

Right. I am not going to sugar coat anything I am about to write next because you will probably eat that too. FAD DIETS are Dangerous! They are inefficient sure ways of losing a few pounds both in weight and pocket only to find out that the pounds in your pocket don’t come back but the ones around your waist will.

But how to you spot a FAD DIET? Well for starters anything Vanessa Feltz tries to sell you.  Any celebrity who endorses weight loss has probably cheated by having surgery like Liposuction or Gastric Bands and defiantly not by the traditional methods.
