Earlier on this year the GSD drew attention to complaints from the construction sector at the way the Government had allocated a contract - worth in excess of £1.5 million - to a start up company called Bizzy Bee Limited which, the party said at the time, is owned by “well-known GSLP supporters”. The contract was, amongst other things, to renew pavements at Varyl Begg Estate.
Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture has announced the programme of events for this year’s Autumn Season, from 1st October to the 31st December 2015.
The Ministry says it is delighted to be part of what should be a series of enjoyable musical, dance, dramatic productions and sporting events, and trusts that everyone will find something to their liking. The programme includes well-loved events like the International Art Exhibition, the Literary Festival, the European Dance Championships and the New Year’s Celebrations, amongst many other cultural activities.
The Gibraltar Port Authority, together with a number of entities, will be hosting Gibraltar’s first ever World Maritime Day celebrations for families and children of all ages on Sunday 27th September from 10am to 2pm.
Fresh from representing Gibraltar at the Round Table International World Meeting in Gotland, Sweden, Round Table Gibraltar held its first meeting following the summer recess.
