The Opposition says it notes the “extreme hypocrisy” of the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, who talks about political corruption on the part of the Opposition, because the Opposition does not disclose who funded the Lloyd’s Register LNG report, while he has “refused to say” whether the company of his one time business partner in a sunglasses business, which was awarded the tender for "not fit for purpose" new buses, was the lowest tenderer. The GSD says that Mr Picardo wants the Opposition to disclose who paid for that expert report but refuses to disclose who paid for $US110,000 tickets to allow him to take a cropped photograph with President Obama or whether that person has or has had any interest in any commercial entity bidding or having been awarded a public contract. The difference, argues the party, is that the GSD is not using the people's money to pay for any reports.
