The Ocean Village Flotilla has proven to be a huge success, but it's not all out at sea. There is a great crowd in Ocean Village enjoying the bouncy castle, the face painting and having a drink and lunch in the sunshine. What a great day.
The YGTV team at Ocean Village are pleased to report that preparations for the Celebratory Champagne Party are well underway. All those involved in the Jubilee Flotilla are cordially invited to carry on the Jubilee celebrations in style at Ocean Village with a private Champagne Party to toast Her Majesty’s good health and the Flotilla’s safe return to port.
Decorations are being put in place at the end of The Island in Ocean Village, opposite Savannah, to welcome back the Flotilla crews. In the meantime, visitors continue to stream past covered in Red, White and Blue, reminding us all why we are actually here; to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Head down to Ocean Village and soak up the action.
The Ocean Village Diamond Jubilee Flotilla has now reached the half way point, by Eastern Beach, where it is now turning around and heading back towards Ocean Village. Here are a few photos from our YGTV Reporters on board:

Gibraltar’s Jubilee Celebrations this Bank Holiday Monday are not purely restricted to the sea with the Flotilla. Down at Ocean Village visitors can enjoy face painting, bouncy castle action, drinks and food, and all whilst listening to a selection of fantastic tunes provided by Fresh Entertainment. The party is just warming up in preparation for the return of the Flotilla, which we have been informed, is now passing by Europa Point (a fantastic location to view the pageant and take some memorable pictures).

YGTV’s reporters out in the Bay of Gibraltar are our eyes and ears in the Flotilla. So far all reports seem to indicate that everything is going well, despite the slight malfunction of the starter’s klaxon as Minister for Culture, Stephen Linares, launched the pageant on its journey around the Rock. The photos and updates will keep coming in for the duration of the event.
Keep checking YGTV for regular updates on the Gibraltar Jubilee Flotilla.
