Sep 02 - RGP Announce New Frontier Queue Arrangements

frontier queuesThe Royal Gibraltar Police will be making alternative arrangements to manage traffic in British Lines Road during periods of excessive frontier delays. As from today the motorcycle and bicycle lanes will move to the southern side of the loop closest to the Gibraltar International Airport terminal. The five motor car lanes will therefore now be immediately to the north of the motorcycle lane.

Sep 02 - 606 Mobile Numbering Range to Be Withdrawn by October

graThe Gibraltar Regulatory Authority has reminded ex-CTS (Gibraltar) Limited (“CTS”) customers that the 606 mobile numbering range will be withdrawn on the 1st October 2013.

This follows, as explained in a Press Release dated 8th April 2013, complaints being received from ex-CTS customers, in particular those using mobile services, who had ported their CTS numbers to another provider. These customers have encountered problems when callers from outside Gibraltar tried to contact them.

Sep 02 - Gibraltar Music Festival Set List and Site Map Released

gmf time table As preparations continue for this Saturday’s Gibraltar Music Festival, organisers have released a site map for the event, detailing where both the main and Radio Gibraltar stage will be located. The map includes areas for food, drinks, the sale of merchandise and vouches as well as seated and chill out areas. Ocean Village’s Dusk are even providing a cocktail and champagne lounge. This year, a wheelchair platform will also be available.

Sep 02 - Victory for SHSG – Schools to Offer GCSE Alternative to Religious Studies

shsgThe Secular Humanist Society Gibraltar has today announced that arrangements have been made for students in Gibraltar to opt out of taking their Religious Studies GCSE in order to take the alternative subject General Studies.

The announcement follows a campaign into the matter, started by the group, a number of months ago. They insist that the Department of Education has informed them that full arrangements have been made.
