The Fine Arts Association is organising an exhibition with a difference. Under the title “The Fine Arts Summer Show” the exhibition will feature works by a number of accomplished artists from Gibraltar and abroad and opens to the public on the 7th July at The Fine Arts Gallery, Casemates. The exhibition aims to make art more accessible to the general public and all works will be available on a “pay as you go” basis allowing buyers to walk away with their artworks once the purchase has been completed if they so desire. For this purpose artist are encouraged to submit artworks that are “affordably” priced and not exceeding £500.

The Minister for Culture, Steven Linares, presented cheques with a total value of £2,500 in respect of the prize money awarded to the winners of the Miss Gibraltar beauty pageant. The winners collected their prizes at the Ministry of Culture’s new premises in City Hall.
Big Man Entertainment has today announced their next event, 'Cinema Under The Stars,' an evening of cinema at the Open Air Theatre, Alameda Gardens.
The aim, according to a spokesperson for Big Man, is to’ recreate the magic of cinema as it used to be and give the families of Gibraltar the opportunity to share some experiences from their childhood with their own kids. What better movie to do this than Steven Spielberg's classic 'E.T.'
