Two Gibraltarian’s died today following a fatal road traffic accident on the road between San Pedro and Ronda.
Feb 13 - Dudley Ward Tunnel Road Traffic Accident
At approximately 2:30 pm this afternoon a road traffic accident occurred at Dudley Ward tunnel causing the RGP to close the area to the public for an hour. A local motorcyclist collided into the wall inside the tunnel and sustained minor injuries.
Feb 13 - King’s Chapel Hosts Lent Charity Lunches
As per annual tradition, the King’s Chapel has teamed up with a number of other churches within Gibraltar’s Christian community, including St. Andrew’s, the local Methodist Church and the Cathedral of St. Mary the Crown, to host a series of lent charity lunches. The lunches will run every Wednesday for the next five weeks, with all funds raised being donated to Nazareth house who host a local outreach programme. Nazareth House organises regular lunches for the less fortunate individuals in our community.
Feb 13 - GRA Not at Fault for CTS Raid
Following the release of recent press reports the GRA have today insisted that they did not send bailiffs into CTS’ premises, instead they are acting in the enforcement of judgements obtained against the company, by other parties.
The search warrant was executed for the purpose of an investigation regarding the provision of service without a license, pursuant to the relevant provisions of the Communications Act.
Feb 13 - Young Artist 2013 Competition Exhibition Opening Boasts Impressive Turnout
Yesterday evening, Minister for Culture, Steven Linares officially opened the Young Artist 2013 Competition exhibition at the John Mackintosh Hall. A total of forty – nine artists submitted seventy-two works. The exhibition saw a great deal of interest from the local youth, with individuals as young as 14 years old submitting pieces.
Commenting on the competition, Minister Linares explained that the quality of the work continues to rise every year.
