Following the meeting between Chief Minister Fabian PIcardo and David Cameron held earlier today, a statement released by Number 10 insists that the men discussed ‘the unacceptable delays at the Spanish/Gibraltar border and agreed that these are damaging to the people and economies of Gibraltar and Spain. They agreed that efforts should remain concentrated on finding a diplomatic solution, in line with the Foreign Secretary’s proposals last year for ad hoc dialogue’.
Following a shark sighting in the waters surrounding the area of Torre Guadiaro earlier this week, it has been reported in the Spanish press that the animal was caught by members of the La Linea Fishermen’s Association.
A feature length French film about Gibraltar will be released in September. Entitled “Gibraltar” in France but marketed as “The Informant” internationally, the action movie is the creation of director Julien Leclercq.

Traders and business owners will be able to carry out a questionnaire, which will then be raised with authorities. The data collected will form a register allowing for officials to fully understand how badly businesses have been affected by cross border tensions.
The large Guardia Civil vessel, Rio Pas, was spotted yesterday evening approaching every tanker anchored in the Bay in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters. The Spanish state vessel went from tanker to tanker, slowing down to observe bunkering operations.
