The GSD says that it notes the “stark refusal by the Government to come clean” on whether changes to the Nature Protection legislation will allow Spanish Fishermen to fish with nets in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters without them actually having to apply for a licence in Gibraltar (e.g. by virtue of their existing membership of one of the Algeciras or La Linea Cofradias).
During the Chief Minister’s recent visit to Washington DC, he was the guest of honour at the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars' (TWC) headquarters where he met the first group of 11 students to be participating in the Gibraltar Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Training Program. Over lunch with the interns, the Chief Minister said: “You are the pioneers, and I hope you can look back and see that you broke ground on something really special.”
Ahead of the GFA A Team’s trip to Portugal tomorrow, to play their first friendly match under UEFA, against Slovakia, President of the Association Desmond Reoch, along with team manager Allen Bula and Grassroots Manager Leslie Asquez, announced the line up for the team set to play next Tuesday. The 23 man squad will see Roy Chipolina of Lincoln FC act as captain, with newcomers Danny Higginbotham of Chester FC, Scott Wiseman of Barnsley FC and Adam Priestly of Farsley FC joining the team.

Senior Officers from the Borders and Coastguard Agency have recently qualified as Aviation Security Managers. The course is approved by the UK Department for Transport and is mandatory for UK security managers employed by organisations providing aviation security to airports and airlines who have direct managerial responsibilities for security personnel carrying out aviation security duties.
