Officers of HM Customs on duty at Eastern Beach came under attack by a group of men from the Spanish beach north of the frontier fence at 15:00 today. The group attempted to enter Gibraltar unlawfully but were deterred by the number of HM Customs Officers who responded to the situation from several out-stations.

The Royal Gibraltar Regiment held a memorial football match in Devils Tower Camp today to honour their colleague Christian Wink.
Christian joined the Regiment in 1997 and was 22 years old when he lost his life in a road traffic accident whilst on deployment to Jebel Sahara in 2001.
